Veggies From Mexico community farms renew PrimusGFS certification

We congratulate the companies of the Veggies From Mexico Community for renewing their PrimusGFS food safety certificates: Agroexportadora del Noroeste (13th year), Campaña Agricultores (12th year) and Agroindustrias Tombell (11th year); so based on the criteria by the Technical Operation Regulation of Eleven Rivers Agricultores Asociados, A.C., these companies are awarded the BEYOND and Full Level in compliance with this certification scheme.

We extend our congratulations on behalf of the Board of Directors of Veggies From Mexico, to the management and all the technical staff of these companies, for their work and commitment.

PrimusGFS is a fully recognized Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarked audit program covering GAP and GMP as well as Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS). This program offers certification for growing operations and minimally processed (fresh) products. Azzule Systems owns and manages PrimusGFS.

PrimusGFS certification is divided into 3 modules

Module 1 – Food Safety Management Systems (applicable in all areas)

Module 2 – With 2 distinct sub-modules: Good Agricultural Practices and Good Processing Practices (applicability of modules will depend on the scope of the audit).

Module 3 – Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (only for Processing Units)

Since 2009, our VFM community applies and validates a strict compliance system, through the verification of the main safety and social responsibility standards for each participating company. Each company is assigned a level of compliance based on the commercial certifications it holds.

Eleven Rivers Growers’ technical team conducts weekly validation visits to all production areas of the agricultural companies, ensuring compliance with the criteria established in the certification schemes reviewed for our badges. Although the Eleven Rivers Growers technical team cannot revoke any certification, it has the authority to remove members of the community who have any non-compliance.
