In an inspiring narration of Mr. Diego Ley, Diego Ley Vela and Juan Jose Ley, directors of Del Campo y Asociados, share with us how the last 20 years have been, how were their beginnings in agriculture, and how have been leading this important company that has a history of more than 40 years in the agricultural exporting industry of Sinaloa.
They share with us that one of the characteristics that make Del Campo y Asociados unique is that it is a family business that is organized in a vertical operation; They produce and distribute the vegetables they sell in North America, which allows them to have a robust product traceability system that allows them to trace the origin of the seeds, the lots where they were grown, the people who packaged them and all this can be reviewed through a QR code that is attached to the boxes, which allows them to trace the products through all the processes of growing, packing and transporting the company, a very important commitment for Del Campo and its customers.
“The workforce is fundamental to this company, without the employee nothing can be done,” says General Director Diego Ley. He mentions that during peak seasons the company employs up to 5,000 workers, many of them migrant workers from other Mexican states, who are offered housing for themselves and their families, education and health services, and recreational activities. The company’s facilities include a daycare center and a school that provides primary and secondary education with highly qualified teachers and adequate food programs.
