Farm workers and their families at Tricar were received of the visit of the vaccination brigade of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) at the “El Porvenir” shelter facilities for the application of the COVID-19 vaccine to children up to 9 years old.

The vaccination campaign carried out to provide the service to new employees.

Health promotion and care campaigns are a priority for Tricar. We are grateful to the IMSS brigade that, in coordination with the social responsibility area, helps to provide this service to its partners’ facilities.

It is considered that vaccines have been one of the tools of medicine that has saved more lives throughout history. The objective of the vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 is to induce an immune response that produces antibodies capable of neutralizing the virus, as well as to create a memory response in cellular immunity, that is, that the immune system recognizes the virus in the event of exposure to it and produces a rapid response to prevent the virus from invading and causing the disease.

There are currently seven approved vaccines available in Mexico: Pfizer-BioNTech (95% efficacy), AstraZeneca-Oxford (76% efficacy), Sputnik of the Gamaleya Institute of Moscow (97.6% efficacy), Sinovac-CoronaVac (50-91% efficacy), CanSino Biologics (66% efficacy), COVAXIN Bharat Biotech International Limited (81% efficacy) and Johnson and Johnson (72% efficacy). All approved vaccines satisfy two key characteristics, safety, and efficacy.

We are very proud that the companies that are part of the Veggies from Mexico community and health institutions implement these campaigns to preserve the health of their employees. Vaccination today is an act of solidarity and responsibility to solve a global problem, the only way to control this pandemic is to vaccinate the entire population.
