Veggies From Mexico 2021-2022 Season Board Meeting takes place
On Tuesday, May 17 at 8:30 a.m. at the CAADES offices in Sinaloa, the board meeting of the members and advisors of the Veggies from Mexico community was held. The weekly seasonal audit results of each of the growers were presented. It is worth noting that all the grower companies that are members of the community obtained excellent results in their audits for the current 2021-2022 season.
In the event of non-compliance with the criteria or any failure, corrective actions were taken immediately to remain in the community. Thus, supporting its certifications and its practices in food safety and social responsibility.
The results of the different marketing campaigns carried out during the season were also presented. The most successful were:
“What’s going on now” showed through our social media what was happening in the Sinaloa farms in production issues. From planting and seedling production to harvesting and packaging of vegetables.
Another very successful campaign was the sending of “Gift Boxes” to the main buyers in the United States where they could get to know in-depth what we were doing in the community.
Another very powerful tool that helped us promote the community was the interviews that were featured in each of our newsletters, which by the way reach more than 9000 recipients each month. These interviews focused on national and U.S. industry personalities who influenced the fresh food industry. For example, there was an interview with Nancy Tucker, who was president of PMA a few years ago. Nadia Pasco CEO of AZZULE, Dante Galeazzi president of TIPA in Texas, among others.
The excellent results of the visit of VFM director Georgius Gotsis and the treasurer of the Board, Mr. Francisco Campaña, to VIVA Fresh in Dallas were also shared. They returned with important contacts and buyers interested in doing business with members of the community.
