Veggies From Mexico at The Mexico Conference organized by IFPA
On June 22 and 23, 2022 “The Mexico Conference” will be held in Guadalajara, one of the most important events in North America for fresh fruits and vegetables. This event is organized by IFPA, the International Fresh Produce Association.
It is worth mentioning that IFPA is a recently created organization, formed by two of the most important and long-lived organizations in the world that have promoted and encouraged the fruit, vegetable, and flower industry in the world: PMA (Produce Marketing Association) and United Fresh.
With this merger and transformation, IFPA consolidates to look after the interests of the fresh fruit and vegetable industry. Promoting mainly the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, but also seeking to improve quality practices, safety, and social responsibility. Looking for the benefit of all parts of the chain: the grower, the marketer, the consumer, and the wide variety of suppliers around that increases the quality.
Veggies For Mexico will be present in Guadalajara where it will continue to promote the community and the support that its growers have in following the criteria of safety and social responsibility.
In addition to enjoying and learning from the different talks and workshops that will be given during the event, VFM will have the opportunity to meet some of the most important buyers with whom we will share availability, variety of products, and contact information of the growers that our label represents. Some of the buyers we will have the opportunity to meet with include Coosmans, Calimax, Brix Produce, Lakeside Produce, Mission Produce, Soriana, Triple H, UNFI, Walmart, and Chedraui.
All of them are important commercial actors that are looking for fresh food suppliers to companies that are following certifications and standards such as those of the growers of Veggies From Mexico.
