Los Mochis Growers Association (AARFS) presents its second work report for the 2022-2024 Steering Committee
Los Mochis, Sinaloa – On February 17th, Mr. Cesar Enrique Galaviz Lugo, president of the Los Mochis Growers Association, delivered the second activities report of the current Steering Committee. In this report, he detailed the key accomplishments and actions carried out during the past year 2023.
Galaviz Lugo shared with the audience the significant results achieved by the farming organization during his tenure. While acknowledging the challenges currently faced by the fresh produce industry, he reaffirmed the commitment and hard work that growers’ organizations undertake daily for the benefit of their members.
He emphasized that extraordinary efforts are necessary. The steering committee has already been working on contingency plans since the end of last year. Although results cannot be guaranteed, they remain dedicated to putting in the necessary effort.
The president of the Los Mochis Growers Association encouraged his colleagues to persevere. Together, they can sustain the vital role of food production and continue generating employment opportunities in the region, as they have done for a long time.

AARFS A.C. is a non-profit organization, comprising 2,500 smallholder growers in the northern state of Sinaloa, Mexico. Among its members, 632 are active, 125 are honorary, and 1,743 are affiliated.
The association was founded on November 25, 1932, under the Law for the Promotion of Agricultural Associations of the State of Sinaloa. It currently operates under the Law of Agricultural Organizations of the State of Sinaloa and its statutes. The General Assembly, where only active members participate with voice and vote, serves as its highest authority.
The Assembly’s responsibilities are entrusted to a Management Committee, democratically elected for a 3-year term. This committee is supported by an administrative structure that carries out its functions with honesty and professionalism.
In Sinaloa, there are 11 agricultural associations representing and defending the interests of agricultural growers. These associations belong to the Confederation of Agricultural Associations of the State of Sinaloa (CAADES), collectively representing over 30,000 growers. Their exemplary organizational structure sets a standard for growers at the national level.
