Our History

Agrícola BelHer began its operations in its first horticultural season, 1988-1989. At first, it only had the infrastructure for produce crops and harvest, on the vine and open-field soil tomato.

After a bit over a year, in Jan 1991, Empaque Don Memo started operations. With a production line, and then, the packaging and shipping of products started.

Cultivation with Mesh Shades

It was until 2004 when our first 15 hectares with mesh shade were installed. Years later, in 2007, there were 80 hectares of protected cultivation. In all these years, we harvest and package products such as: hot peppers, peppers, cucumbers, and mostly, tomatoes.

Our Packaging facility, highly automated and with three production lines, meet our demand. In addition to the above, our shelters for farming workers have also evolved.

Currently all our production is under protected agriculture.

Agrícola Belher

Just as our first year of production, Campo Lo de Beltrán started operations. This one with enough capacity to house the workers for our first harvests and their families. 3 modules with 100 homes, a small daycare facility, a school and a store.

170 hectares of round, roma and intense tomatoes in our two lots: Mesh Shades El Álamo and Mesh Shades La 25.

For the 2011-2012 season, together with the growth of protected cultivation hectares and the increase in production, we started operations of Campo Dorita. The shelter, at that time, housed 400 residents.

At that time, our two Shelters have a totally renovated infrastructure. They have a total capacity of 2,300 residents and their two Daycare facilities have a capacity to serve almost 400 boys and girls.

Food safety and agrifood quality at Agrícola Behler

At Agrícola BelHer, food safety is achieved through the Implementation of Good Agricultural and Manufacturing Practices, as well as the implementation of food safety and quality management systems.
