During November, the Innovation and Continuous Improvement team at Agrícola Belher introduced the annual program of internal and external audits to all the area leaders across the company.

The internal audit system of said farming company consists of periodic compliance verifications in all the company areas, as part of its management system, which allows employees to have a better performance throughout their operation.

In addition to inform the personnel about the audit operation and frequency, training was also started on third-party schemes, which are the ones the company is audited with:

• GlobalGAP + Add On FSMA
• HACCP
• SMETA
• SRRC
• CTPAT
• Eleven Rivers Growers/Veggies From México

Third-party or certification audits are audits performed by a certified organization, mostly for those aligned to the criteria set out by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

Retailers and other buyers across the world rely on GFSI-recognized certification schemes, allowing companies holding these certifications to access all the corners of international commerce.
