Agrícola el Porvenir/Tricar is a proud member of our agricultural community Veggies from Mexico. The Cardenas family has been a pioneer in exporting Mexican vegetables to the North American market since the 1950s and is currently led by Daniel Cardenas Cevallos.
Daniel Cardenas Izabal created Fundación Cárdenas in 2015, since through his more than 70 years of experience in the agricultural business he has been working alongside the people of the countryside as a grower. Having experienced their needs firsthand, he decided to promote an initiative to improve the quality of life of people working in the fields. Through its programs, the foundation seeks to contribute to the well-being of farm workers and their families through education and training programs for their personal and community development.
The Foundation also coordinates the Rescatemos de Corazón Villa Juarez initiative, which links and develops social development projects in the largest community of migrant day laborers in Mexico. The network has more than 40 partners involving companies, non-profit organizations, academia, local governments, and neighbors.
We are very proud of Mr. Daniel Cardenas Izabal, his dedication to education is outstanding. He has been the founder of three university institutions in Sinaloa and of a non-profit organization that supports education. Being an active advocate of social benefit actions, also promoting health, environment, and human values through the foundation.
