Dutch visit agricultural companies in Sinaloa during Trade Mission
Last Wednesday, September 7, a trade mission with 7 Dutch companies, suppliers of high water technology, visited us in Culiacan. After having a busy day with work meetings with various growers, they visited some local growing companies.
One of the companies visited was Viva Orgánica. At the company, they witnessed the high technology used for packing organic tomatoes of different varieties. They were also able to see the excellent agricultural and irrigation management of blackberries. The Dutch delegation was surprised and satisfied with the excellent management of the company’s social responsibility. The company’s workers have access to a high-quality canteen every day, in addition to a unique and innovative incentive program known as VIVA Points. With this program, workers have access to various benefits in addition to those already provided by law, which allows them to motivate themselves daily.
Afterward, the delegation visited the company, Agrícola Chaparral, a member of the VFM community. At the company, we were attended by David Villarreal, who showed us the seedling greenhouses where millions of plants are being prepared and cared for and will soon be taken to the fields and greenhouses for production. Mr. Villarreal showed us in detail the process from the time the seed is sown until the plant is ready to be taken to the field.
The Dutch delegation was very satisfied with everything they saw during their field visits, not only because they saw a business opportunity, but also because of the good agricultural management, as well as the exceptional treatment given to the field collaborators in both companies.
