In August, Cardenas Foundation in collaboration with Caffenio y Accionarse launched an educational video, which is part of the program “Video stories with value: social responsibility for children”.

This video story explains the importance of the people who are involved in agriculture, to feed the communities. It explains the importance of migrant farm workers who come from southern Mexico to work in the agricultural fields of Sinaloa and all the programs for the development of children, adults, and seniors that are implemented in companies and those programs that are carried out by the Cardenas Foundation.

Every year, thousands of workers migrate to Sinaloa’s fields to work, coming from other Mexican states, mainly Oaxaca, Guerrero, and Veracruz, as well as from the Sinaloa highlands, normally from the municipalities of Sinaloa and Badiraguato.

These workers stay at the facilities of the agricultural companies for periods ranging from approximately 3 to 6 months; therefore, it is vitally important that they are in decent, safe, and comfortable conditions to ensure that their stay is a good experience and that they perform well at work. Agricultural companies have educational programs and various activities to improve the coexistence and stay of workers and their families, childcare, housing, transportation, education, collective dining rooms, and medical services, among others.

Cardenas Foundation is an institution that manages, links, and coordinates community intervention projects. Its goal is to improve the lives of rural people through community work and training. The foundation supports children, teenagers, and adults.

Video stories are learning tools with which children can identify their emotions from an early age, allowing them to act satisfactorily in their environment. The social responsibility video stories have striking illustrations and characters where the protagonists are children, families, and even animals; characteristics that allow significant learning in the viewers.

Video stories with value aim to recognize in the community the values, traditions, and causes that allow us to build and strengthen society through personal participation, respect, and honesty; values with which Caffenio‘s corporate citizenship is built.
