AMHPAC collaborates with the Food Bank as part of its Social Responsibility programs

Since May 2016, the Mexican Association of Protected Horticulture (AMHPAC) has been working together with the Food Bank as part of the 15 Permanent Programs that the Social Responsibility area offers to its members.

The Social Responsibility area of AMHPAC has promoted the participation of its members in these permanent programs, related to health, discrimination, education, values, addictions, training, and environment, which are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Global Compact.

Throughout 6 years, AMHPAC has benefited more than 8,400 employees of affiliated companies through 15 permanent Social Responsibility programs.

One of the programs is the collaboration with the Food Bank of Mexico, a non-profit Civil Society Organization, which is integrated by 55 Food Banks nationwide, and rescues food along the entire value chain to take it to families, communities, and institutions in need and thus improve food and nutrition in Mexico.

ON THE BAMX NETWORK

They rescued 118,189,490 kg of food in 2018, of which 44% are fruits and vegetables and 56% were non-perishable.

Companies participating in AMHPAC’s Social Responsibility program obtain various benefits by donating products for human consumption:

Collection of the product to the company

Free transportation of the product

Tax benefits

Use of the BAMX logo

All these benefits are thanks to the brand use agreement for food donations.

.

Be part of the virtuous circle of donation!

1. Reduce hunger and poverty

2. Improve nutrition

3.       Promote fair trade and balanced production.

4.       Branding

5.       Inventory destruction and reverse logistics costs

6.       Avoid oversupply

7.       Provide tax-deductible receipts.

8.       Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
