Agricultural organizations meeting with the Government of Sinaloa to promote Social Responsibility Programs for the welfare of farm workers
During the month of July, the first working meeting of the commission for the comprehensive protection of migrant children and adolescents in situations of internal mobility was held, with the participation of various agricultural organizations from the State of Sinaloa.
The main objective of this commission is that together, the members expose the needs they identify to improve the living conditions of migrant workers who collaborate in agricultural companies during the horticultural season. The government institutions will look for ways to generate projects for the Integration of the Preliminary Draft Expenditure Budgets for Fiscal Year 2024, given by personnel from the Secretary of Administration and Finance of the State.
The above, based on the provisions of Articles 107 and 109 of the Law on the Rights of Children and Adolescents of the State of Sinaloa; 41 of the Organization and Operation Manual of the State System for the Comprehensive Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents and the General Guidelines for the Integration, Organization, and Operation of the Commissions of the State System for the Comprehensive Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents.
The meeting was attended by staff from Veggies from Mexico, the Commission for the Investigation and Defense of Vegetables (CIDH – CAADES), the DIF System, the Secretariat of Public Education of the State of Sinaloa (SEP), Save The Children, the Secretariat of Agriculture, among other government agencies.
