Agricola El Nazario implements an eye health campaign
In September, Agricola El Nazario, a company of our community Veggies from Mexico, organized its visual health campaign. In this campaign, around ten pairs of glasses were given to administrative workers.
This delivery of glasses was possible because Agricola El Nazario has an agreement with the optical company Ver de Verdad.
The main objective of this campaign is to provide the company’s employees with a healthier vision to improve their quality of life so that they can perform better in their professional activities, especially for those who spend several hours in front of a computer screen.
With an eye health campaign, employees have raised awareness of the importance of proper eye health care. It also promotes regular eye examinations to detect visual problems early and prevent possible complications.
Some campaigns provide advice on proper lighting and ergonomics to reduce eye fatigue in work and educational environments, as well as eating a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables such as carrots, grapefruit, pumpkin, broccoli, spinach, and most green leafy vegetables, in addition to animal foods such as eggs, meat, milk, and dairy products.
Finally, informing the benefits of keeping a healthy weight helps to maintain proper eye health since overweight and obesity are risk factors for developing chronic non-communicable diseases such as diabetes or glaucoma.
