Agricola Chaparral publishes its Environmental Impact Report Season 2022
Agricola Chaparral, a proud member of our agricultural community Veggies from Mexico, published as every year its environmental impact report for the 2022 season. This document contains a general report on the policies and actions that the company carries out in terms of environmental responsibility.
Following its strategy of caring for and preserving the environment, the company carries out two activities that improve the quality of life of its direct and indirect employees:
Tree planting program: The company seeks to develop green areas to improve the quality of life of its employees and their families, using them as an area for coexistence and recreation.
Electricity saving program with the “Follow the electric current” campaign: This program aims to promote a culture of responsible use of electricity in all employees both in the company and in their homes.
The areas that Agrícola Chaparral identifies as being most aligned with the company’s philosophy and of vital importance for sustainable development are as follows:
1. Collection of empty agrochemical containers 2.
2. Collection and final disposal of used lubricants.
3. Development of green areas
4. Responsible use of electricity
5. Collection and disposal of plastics
6. Incorporation of biological products for pest control in the field.
7. Green shopping
8. Incorporation of organic fertilizers
9. Sustainable water use
10. Environmental training
11. Pollutant emission reduction program
12. Program to keep the areas free of garbage.
To accomplish these actions, Agrícola Chaparral has a group of allies, which are made up of a group of organizations and companies that aim to care for the environment, among them are the following:
AMOCALI, Civil Association – Campo Limpio: Civil association that represents more than 250 agrochemical and related companies, grouping manufacturers, formulators and distributors, agricultural packaging, pest controllers, agroindustries, aerial spraying tracks, transporters, farmers, and farmers associations. The objective of this association is the practice and culture of the triple cleaning technique, collection, compaction, and shipment of empty agrochemical containers to their destination.
ASPEN Petrochemicals: A high-performance environmental company that shares responsibility with its clients to care for their hazardous materials transported by rail and road through preventive risk inspection plans, specialized training and education, professional emergency response management, and ecological and sustainable alternatives for effective specialized industrial maintenance.
Operación Ambiente (Recycle and Transform): Institution formed by socially responsible people with the mission to foster and promote environmental awareness through educational programs and to install solid waste collection centers for recycling.
Agroorgánicos Nacionales: The objective of this company is to exclusively provide products and services that contribute to the protection of the environment, as well as to promote a culture of consumption of organic products in the country.
Bioplanet México: It is a 100% Mexican company, a leader in the research, development, and commercialization of sustainable biotechnological products for the agricultural, aquaculture, and water treatment markets.
Culiacan City Hall:
The Culiacan City Hall through the Department of Environmental Education supports the community of Culiacan in teaching information about environmental care. The mission of this agency is to achieve the active participation of the population, civil organizations, educational institutions, and the business sector in actions to preserve the environment and its resources, as well as interaction in the mechanisms for adapting to climate change.
