Agricola Belher Unveils Its Organic Garden at Dorita and Lo de Beltran
Agricola Belher, a company deeply committed to environmental care and the promotion of sustainable practices, recently inaugurated its Organic Garden at the Community Development Centers (CDCs) of Dorita and Lo de Beltran.
This visionary project aims to foster organic and sustainable agriculture within the CDC communities, providing children of migrant collaborators in Dorita and Lo de Beltrán with an opportunity to learn about organic crops, soil nurturing, water conservation, and the vital work undertaken by their parents in agriculture.
The Organic Garden at both CDCs boasts a diverse array of crops, including cilantro, cucumber, watermelon, cauliflower, carrot, pumpkin, radish, jicama, peanuts, and the fiery Chiltepín Chile, all cultivated naturally.
As an after school activity, approximately 100 children from CDC Lo de Beltran and 90 children from CDC Dorita planted their seeds in the gardens.
Juan Antonio Álvarez Cruz, Human Capital and Talent Manager of Agrícola Belher, emphasized the significance of this event: “This initiative allows the children of our migrant collaborators to learn about crop cultivation, planting, and nurturing. When the fruits ripen, they will be theirs to enjoy. This crop carries no risk, as it is entirely natural and organic.”
The inauguration of the Organic Garden underscores Agrícola Belher’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship. Beyond its positive impact on the CDC communities, this project promotes access to healthy, sustainable food and encourages environmental consciousness.
Furthermore, the company pledges ongoing support and continuous enhancement of this initiative, ensuring that the children and communities of Dorita and Lo de Beltran thrive amidst their sustainable organic garden.
We extend an invitation to all residents of Dorita and Lo de Beltran to actively participate in this transformative project, cultivating a more sustainable and healthful future together. Learn more about Agricola Belher at:
