Agricola Belher participates in the 14th Recycling organized by the Private Assistance Institution Operation Environment (IAP)
To encourage the recycling culture and promote the practices of the three R’s of Ecology: “Reduce, reuse, and recycle” on the occasion of World Recycling Day, the Civil Association Operation Environment IAP began this Wednesday its 14th “Recyclón” recycling period in the facilities of the Culiacan Zoo held on May 17 and 18 of this year.
As a company committed to sustainability, Agrícola Belher contributed to this important cause that benefits the care of the planet and corporate responsibility.
From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., citizens could contribute to the care of the environment by delivering different recyclable materials, such as stacked paper, unfolded cardboard, plastic and crushed aluminum, glass, electronic waste, batteries, and alkaline batteries. These materials will be properly processed for further recycling.
An additional attraction of the event is the “Art of Recycling” contest, which promotes creativity and ingenuity through recycling.
Ana Karen Castro Olivas, director of Operación Ambiente IAP, highlighted this contest’s importance in encouraging environmental care and the development of artistic skills.
Special prizes were awarded to the people who contributed the greatest amount of recyclable material, receiving a surprise item in recognition of their commitment to the cause.
In addition, an ecological expo will be held during the event, where students from different schools will be able to exchange “a passport” that will be stamped in each activity to exchange it for prizes related to sustainability and care for the environment. This initiative seeks to involve young people in the importance of recycling and our responsibility to preserve our environment.
