Marte Nicolas Vega Roman Presented the Third Activity Report Leading the CAADES








Culiacan, Sinaloa.- In order to comply with the bylaws of the Law on Farming Associations in the State of Sinaloa, on Friday, March 28th, Marte Nicolas Vega Roman, current Chairman for the 2022-2025 period at the CAADES, delivered his Third Activity Report to Advisors and Delegates from the 11 Farmers Associations which are part of this confederation.
“On these three years, we have been able to work together to address various situations in the best possible way, all of this with the purpose of getting higher levels of production and profitability for farmers,” said Vega Roman.
He remarked the actions started in the strategic areas of the CAADES, including Eleven Rivers Growers, where creating the community of growers at Veggies From Mexico was a priority, which offers training, workshops, internal audits, advisory, and other services for farmers of our organization.

“Currently, there are 11 farming companies that are part of this community, which represents a third of the exports from Sinaloa,” stated Vega Roman.
He also mentioned the progress made at the CAADES logistics center “El Trocadero” located in Nogales, Sonora which, during this period, precise remodeling and modernization efforts have been made, in order to consolidate us as the main logistics center to benefit the CAADES partners, farmers from Sinaloa and farmers from other states.
Over the past three years, Expo Agro Sinaloa has been a remarkable success, involving farmers, exhibitors, researchers, and academics, fulfilling its fundamental purpose of technology transference.
“With regards to the CIDH, the actions standing out are the ones regarding the monitoring and defense of the tomato dumping suspension agreement, which represents an important part of the activities from this committee,” remarked Marte Vega.

Regarding grain marketing, he said that over the past three years, additional support has been provided to help farmers achieve profitability in their crops, especially corn, in conjunction with the State and Federal Governments. Similarly, in the case of bean, a free storage scheme was implemented by the Farmers Associations making up the CAADES to relieve pressure on the market and obtain a better price.
“The CAADES and the Farmers Associations that make up the confederation, have actively participated in addressing each of the diverse circumstances, by proposing courses of action so that farmers can make the best decisions about their crops and achieve higher levels of operation,” Vega Román emphasized.
“I am confident that the new Steering Committee will reinforce our institution, working together with the 11 Farmers Associations and farming organizations from Sinaloa. The new Chairman and his advisors have the capacity, experience, and willingness required for the times we are living in. I wish success to Jesus Rojo Plascencia and the Board of Directors for the 2025-2028 period”, concluded Marte Vega.
