Culiacan, Sinaloa.– For over two decades, the Profamilia de Jornaleros IAP area of the Culiacan Growers Association (AARC) has invited social workers from farming companies in the Culiacan Valley to get a two-week training, on subjects such as:

Leadership, workplace conflict management, mental health and addictions, discrimination and inclusion, civil protection plans in childcare facilities, among many others that strengthen their daily work.

Over 90 social workers from 31 farming companies affiliated with the AARC take part in these training sessions.

These trainings are a special space for social work staff, as they provide tools to further professionalize their work, share experiences, success stories, and ways to address the complex challenges of their daily duties in support of farmworkers; mostly migrant workers from southern states of Mexico. To conclude, it is tradition to choose a queen from the participating female social workers of the training season. Congratulations for such important work being developed by social workers from farming companies and to Profamilia de Jornaleros IAP for developing these training sessions!
