Agricola Chaparral Presents its 2026 Communication on Progress Report Under the United Nations Global Compact

Agrícola Chaparral presented its 2026 Communication on Progress (COP) Report under the United Nations Global Compact, prepared, integrated, and coordinated by Social Worker Yolanda Rodriguez Rodriguez, Social Promotion Coordinator at Grupo Chaparral.

The COP 2026 is an accountability and transparency exercise that brings together the  actions and results of the company, in the areas of Human Rights, Labor Standards, Environment, and Anti-Corruption, in accordance with the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact.

The integration of the report brought together evidence and results from different work centers and social care programs, as well as tracking progress, areas of opportunity, and improvement actions related to both social responsibility and sustainability.

Well-being of Workers and Their Families

During the reported period, Agricola Chaparral registered a population of 1,396 people in its fields, from which 1,113 were workers. The report also states that 87% of the workforce is migrant.

Documented actions include the safe and dignified transportation of workers and their families, medical care, health campaigns, training in human and labor rights, educational activities, and childcare services.

In terms of infrastructure, the report records 547 housing units, 154 community laundry facilities, 130 sanitary showers, and 130 sanitation modules, in addition to other services for workers and their families. Also, 380 children were cared for in daycare facilities.

The social program included food and housing support, whereas in education; 65 students graduated from different educational levels during the reported period.

Training, Environment, and Business Ethics

The report highlights 21 training subjects lectured across six workplaces, with 392 training sessions scheduled and a 100% completion rate. Subjects included human and labor rights, gender equality and non-discrimination, harassment prevention, first aid, water conservation, and energy savings.

With regards to the environment, the report includes actions related to responsible use of water and energy, recycling, material reuse, and waste management. In the anti-corruption section, the report documents the Code of Ethics, training on conduct and values, as well as a reporting line for allegations, complaints and suggestions.

The COP 2026 also records the collaboration of Agricola Chaparral with the State Human Rights Commission from Sinaloa (CEDH), and achieving the 2025 “Company Committed to Human Rights” distinction.

As part of the conclusions from this report, Yolanda Rodriguez stated:

With the presentation of its COP 2026, Agricola Chaparral continues to follow the commitments established within the United Nations Global Compact and has a mechanism to review its progress, identify areas of opportunity, and continue actions in social responsibility, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
