Agricola Chaparral Provides Training on Polite Treatment, Human Rights & Gender Violence

Culiacán, Sinaloa.- At the end of January, the farm company Grupo Chaparral and the State Commission on Human Rights (CEDH) lectured a course on polite treatment, human rights, and gender violence to its staff in a hybrid mode, at its packing facilities.
Over three hundred workers of the company participated in this training, thereby confirming the company’s commitment to the Human Rights of its employees, society, and the environment preserved by the company.
Training in subjects such as polite treatment, human rights, and gender violence is essential for a variety of reasons, both to an individual and collective level:
Promoting a culture of respect: Teaching people about polite treatment and human rights contributes to creating environments of respect, equity, and empathy. When people understand their own rights and those of others, they are more likely to behave in a respectful and supportive manner.
.

.
Violence prevention: Education on gender violence helps recognizing the forms of abuse, both physical and emotional, and how to prevent them. This type of training teaches how to identify warning signs and how to properly interfere to prevent violent situations.
Empowerment of victims: Training on these subjects also provides tools for the victims of gender violence so that they recognize that their rights are violated and know how to act, seek help, and defend themselves. In the same way, it provides knowledge to society on how to be an ally of victims and supports their recovery process.
Reduction of stigmas and prejudices: Training on human rights and gender violence contributes to reducing stigmas, prejudices and myths that perpetuate inequality and discrimination. This change of mindset is fundamental to move towards a more equitable society.
.

.
Building a fairer society: By educating on these subjects, a more inclusive society is promoted, where differences in gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, etc. are recognized and respected; and situations of exclusion and violence are reduced.
In summary, training people on these subjects is not only an act of social justice, but an investment in building safer, more respectful, and supportive communities, confirming therefore the commitment, the business and human vision Grupo Chaparral has towards its workers. Congratulations for these actions!
