What Is Caades?

The Confederation of Farming Associations in the State of Sinaloa (CAADES), is an organization of public interest, autonomous, with its own legal personality, made up by 11 Farming Associations, representing over 30 thousand farmers across the state. Its mission is to represent and uphold the interests of farmers both nationally and internationally, in order to promote and develop farming and value generation, achieving the profitability of their crops.
In order to achieve this goal, there are five strategic axes.
1. Services to Partner Farmers
This includes the integration of services intended to support farmers in improving their productive and commercial performance. Among the services developed, you will find:
1.1 Eleven Rivers Growers
A program for farmers affiliated with one of the 11 CAADES farming associations, who apply and validate a stringent compliance system through verification of the main food safety and social responsibility standards.

1.2 Trocadero
Provides advisory and information to competitively develop the export process of farming products from Mexico into the United States, across the Nogales, Sonora border. Trocadero is an inspection point supported by SENASICA, offering a safe space where public and private economic entities involved in the export process of Mexican produce and the imports of farming machinery can work together to perform their tasks more efficiently and respond assertively to any adverse situation that may arise.
1.3 Expo Agro Sinaloa
Expo Agro Sinaloa is a business-generating forum and the ideal place to showcase the products and services of companies that year after year rely on the quality of the most important farm exhibition in Northwestern Mexico. By promoting, driving, and supporting the development of the agri-food industry, it fosters the meeting of farmers with tech innovations that contribute to more efficient operations.
2. Production and exports of produce
The Commission for the Research and Defense of Vegetables in Sinaloa (CIDH) was created from the initiative of produce growers in Sinaloa to represent and prioritize the needs of the sector in terms of defending the interests of farmers affiliated with CAADES member associations. This initiative intends to promote research and tech transference, and to encourage the involvement of farmers in international events related to the promotion of their products.

3. Production and marketing of grains
CAADES is responsible for managing public policies with the Federal Government that allow farmers a reasonable income so they can continue their productive activities. Sinaloa is “The Breadbasket of Mexico,” producing corn, as well as beans, chickpeas, wheat, sorghum, safflower, among others.
4. Institutional engagement
Participate and establish joint coordination with productive sectors and government institutions in actions that benefit CAADES Associations and their guilds. The philosophy is to create ideas, plans, and projects originating from the Associations or the farmers themselves, by conducting visits, maintaining an ongoing dialogue with farmers, and creating a modern, technical, and brotherly environment within the guild.
.

.
5. Institutional Positioning
Its current challenge is to sustainably increase food security levels in grains, produce, and oilseeds; and to maintain the growth dynamics of the horticultural sector in order to meet the requirements of the domestic and foreign markets. This is accompanied by the actions of both the State and Federal Governments, and to continue implementing international treaties, primarily the USMCA, which has contributed a positive surplus to the Mexican agri-food balance in recent years.
