Veggies From Mexico Agricultural Community Hosts Health Fairs
For several years now, the companies comprising our agricultural community, Veggies From Mexico, have been organizing health fairs at their Community Development Centers (CDCs) and shelters. These fairs aim to provide farm workers and their families with various medical services, including general consultations, screening tests for diseases like diabetes and blood pressure, vaccination services, educational talks on health and nutrition, and the distribution of free medicines and vitamins. Additionally, various institutions and organizations working in the health sector participate, such as the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), Un Kilo de Ayuda and Pro Familia de Jornaleros.
Let’s delve into some of the experiences from these health fairs:
Agricola Belher:
The Health Fair took place at their CDCs in Doritaand Lo De Beltran.
Institutions present included IMSS, Un Kilo de Ayuda, Registro Civil, AFOMAC IAP, Villa Angel Flores, La Palma, Asistencia Social, and Pro Familia de Jornaleros, IAP – AARC.
Services offered ranged from vaccinations and information on breast cancer to blood pressure and glucose tests, dental care, haircuts, and educational brochures on nutrition.
The fair also facilitated 3 registrations and 5 marriages.
This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to creating a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and their families.

Del Campo y Asociados:
The company’s social work and medical service area organized its annual health fair.
Approximately 326 services were provided.
Services covered critical health issues such as diabetes, visual health, vaccination, HIV screening, women’s cancer, hypertension, weight management, and general urine tests.

Agrícola Chaparral:
Through its social responsibility team, Agrícola Chaparral hosted a health fair for employees at the Esmeralda and Empaque El Diez fields.
Around 250 workers and 100 children at Empaque El Diez and 500 workers and 300 children benefited from the fair.
