The agricultural sector has been predominantly male since the start, or at least that’s how we perceive it. There are areas or tasks that for many years have been performed predominantly by women, such as packaging. This is due to the unique characteristics of women, which make them more efficient and provide outstanding skills. However, I have seen a change since I started working in the sector 20 years ago. I see more and more women in new areas, and they have managed to make significant contributions to the sector. An example of this is in social responsibility, where women stand out for their effective communication, humanity, codes of ethics, empathy, and commitment, adding value to both the agricultural sector and the industry.

I am proud to be part of it, as I have received my professional training here and have been able to contribute my knowledge, commitment, and effort to my work, where, as a woman, mother, professional, and teacher, I have a unique and valuable perspective. I think the sector is enriched by having diverse contributions from people with different characteristics, since we will all see the same situation from a different angle.
