Training in the Handling of Cleaning Products at Del Campo y Asociados
The production of fresh, high-quality food is the goal of all agricultural companies in Sinaloa. However, a quality tomato does not just look appetizing: red, firm, and good-sized; it also means offering consumers safe products. This involves implementing the best hygiene practices during production and harvest, taking actions to protect and conserve protecting and conserving the environment, and ensuring all employees’ welfare, health, and safety of all employees.
It is crucial to identify the dangers we are exposed to, not only in the workplace but also in rest areas, shelters, and common areas such as patios and playgrounds. Knowing how to avoid these hazards is essential. These practices help create a safer and more efficient working environment by:
.
.
- Communicating existing hazards through signage
- Implementing physical measures or safety devices
- Training personnel on how to perform activities safely
- Using tools and personal protective equipment correctly
- Conducting preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities
.
.
Given the above, on July 15, 2024, the company Del Campo y Asociados, an agricultural member of the Veggies from Mexico community, invited us to conduct a training session on “Handling Cleaning Products.” During this session, we discussed the proper use of detergents and disinfectants in the cleaning activities of facilities and equipment in the daycare, kitchen, and shelter areas. The training was directed at personnel responsible for childcare in the daycare area, food preparation, and the maintenance and cleaning of common areas, to reinforce their knowledge in the safe handling of these products.
We invite you to get to know and become a member of the Veggies from Mexico community and be part of the farms from Sinaloa that, day by day, strive to differentiate themselves from other regions by implementing safety, occupational safety, and social responsibility programs in their facilities.
