Los Mochis, Sinaloa. Luis Xavier Zazueta Ibarra, Chairman of Asociacion de Agricultores del Rio Fuerte Sur (AARFS), presented his first report as leader of the 2025–2027 Board of Directors to the members of this chartered organization.

The event was attended by the Undersecretary of Agriculture in Sinaloa, Ramon Gallegos Araiza; the General Director of CAADES, Manuel García; and the Secretary of the City Council in Ahome, Cutberto Rios Beltran. Leaders of Local Plant Health Boards, hydro-agricultural network, irrigation modules were also present; as well as representatives from government agencies, social, productive, and civil institutions, strengthening joint efforts in benefit of the farming sector in Sinaloa.

“The Board of Directors implemented a contingency plan focused on crop reconversion toward varieties with lower water demand, expense control, and cost optimization without affecting service quality. Despite the contraction in farming activity, the results far exceeded the budgeted expectations.”
