Agroexportadora del Noroeste Strengthens Safety in Its Fields with Training of Multifunctional Brigades


Navolato, Sinaloa – With the purpose of reinforcing a culture of prevention and safety for workers and children within its facilities, Agroexportadora del Noroeste, a company which is a member of the Veggies From Mexico farming community, held a training session for Multifunctional Brigades in the daycare facilities located in each of its farm fields.

The training was intended for the staff responsible for childcare and field operations, including cooks, teachers, advisors, nannies, and social workers, who received tools and knowledge to properly respond to potential emergency situations.
The session was delivered by PREVENTE, a specialized company, focusing on key subjects such as first aid, evacuation, firefighting and prevention, as well as response and internal communication protocols in contingency situations.

Multifunctional brigades are organized groups trained to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies within workplaces. Their importance lies in safeguarding the integrity of people, reducing risks, and taking timely action while awaiting for external emergency services.
According to The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) in Mexico, emergency brigades can be multifunctional, and cover areas such as evacuation, first aid, communication, firefighting and prevention, in compliance with regulation NOM-002-STPS-2010 on safety conditions and fire protection in the workplace.

The regulation establishes that companies must have emergency response plans, periodic training, and drills that enable workers to act properly under risk situations.
