School Trip for Children of Agricola del Campo Workers in Playa Ceuta
Last November 22, Agrícola Del Campo y Asociados, in cooperation with Elota City Hall, developed a special excursion for the children of its field workers. In this occasion, the little ones visited the museum and the turtle field at Playa Ceuta, where they learned about the importance of sea turtle preservation, and became a part in the release of these beautiful creatures.
The kids enjoyed a unique experience, where they were able to connect with nature and understand the value of caring for our environment. For the company, seeing their smiles while they were releasing the turtles was truly rewarding. Developing these activities fosters love and respect for sea life in new generations.

Santuario Tortuguero Playa Ceuta is a complex of lagoons, swamps, and mangroves extending over five hundred hectares (1,240 acres) on the Gulf of California, in the municipality of Elota, Sinaloa. This beach is also the home for nesting of three out of seven sea turtle species: golfina or lora (Lepidochelys olivacea), prieta (Chelonia mydas) and leatherback turtle (Dermochelys coriacea). This Sanctuary is also considered a strategic wetland within the Pacific Migrating Flyway which several species of migratory birds fly over.
If you go to Ceuta do not forget to take a mandatory visit to the museum dedicated to turtles. Hopefully, you will learn about these animals and be able to participate in their release on the beach.
