This appointment concludes the term of Mr. Jose Maria Pablos Ritz, who led the organization for two terms, from de 2019 to 2025.

During his term, Jose Maria participated in the implementation and compliance with the latest tomato antidumping suspension agreement. He was also involved in the launch of the new tomato export scheme, the process for exporting bell peppers into Japan, and the efforts related to the tomato brown rugose fruit virus. The CIDH recognizes his work and dedication to these issues, which are essential for the sector.

The appointment of Mr. Paredes took place at the CIDH Meeting of Shareholders at the “Lauro Díaz Castro” meeting room of the Confederation of Farming Associations in the State of Sinaloa, a meeting that also included the Veggies From Mexico Meeting. During the session, the operational, technical, and management results for the 2024-2025 season of both the CIDH and Veggies From Mexico were detailed, including progress in terms of markets, food safety, and sector representation. Also, the working program for the 2025-2026 season for both organizations was presented and approved. This program includes strategic, operational, and monitoring actions aligned with the current challenges of the horticultural sector in Sinaloa.
