Expo Agro Sinaloa: Mission Accomplished

On Friday, February 14, in the afternoon, the Expo Agro Sinaloa 2025 closed successfully. It took months of planning and seeking to have the best exhibitors, offering the newest innovations, and having domestic and foreign speakers who would share their knowledge with farmers from Sinaloa.
The event started off on the right foot with the opening ceremony on February 12, of course. First, the authorities: CAADES Chairman, Eng. Marte Vega Roman, the State Governor of Sinaloa, PhD. Ruben Rocha Moya, the Federal Secretary of Agriculture, PhD. Julio Berdegue, among others, made a tour stand by stand of the Agrocenter and SME pavilions of the Ministry of Economy. They stopped for a few moments to hear about some new technology at a stand or about a new scientific farming career offered by the UAS university. They spent several minutes getting to know the AARC mobile unit/clinic (Pro-Familia Jornaleros), an example of social support at a domestic and foreign level.
Certainly, in the SME pavilion they tasted delicious and creative regional snacks. And together with the host of the pavilion, the Ministry of Economy, Ricardo Velarde, they greeted and visited several entrepreneurial companies in exhibition. There were also students asking for a photo with some of the authorities.

The opening ceremony was a complete success, with important commitments generated by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture to support Sinaloa farmers.
On the other hand, in the Innovation Hall there was a constant stream of technicians, farmers and students who participated in all the conferences. Many of them focused on solvency and farming sustainability, others on the exports of vegetables and foreign markets. It should be noted that in this context, one of the visitors and speakers from Canada, Jaime Bustamante, developed an audit to a horticultural company from Sinaloa one day after his talk, the first DRC audit ever developed by this organization in Mexico and Latin America. Audits that seek to reinforce the marketing and financial shielding of exporters.
The closing ceremony was developed on a high note with the motivational talk by Arnoldo De La Rocha, founder of the El Pollo Feliz restaurant chain. A life story full of learning and inspiration. One of the most beautiful phrases he shared with us was “Being honest is good business.”

Expo Agro Sinaloa 2025, we believe, was a remarkable success. With exhibitors satisfied and ready to participate again in 2026. With hundreds of students, trained and inspired in farming subjects. With farmers who took advantage of buying machinery and new technology. With a Chairman and team from CAADES and Fundacion Produce Sinaloa inspired and moving forward.
Expo Agro Sinaloa, in its 33rd edition, was a beautiful Expo, but it was also a successful one: 30 thousand visitors, 43 training sessions for over 8,000 people, 600 business meetings, dozens of domestic and foreign buyers, estimated sales of over $30M Mexican Pesos and economic revenue for the municipality of around $18M Mexican Pesos. With an increase in hotel occupancy and restaurant visits of over 20% in both. Unquestionably, Expo Agro Sinaloa is and will continue being a cornerstone event for our state. All we have to say is: See you again in February 2026! Thank you Culiacan, Thank you Sinaloa!
