As part of these actions, they also implement preventive measures at shelters to reduce health risks, such as heat stroke and respiratory diseases. Also, the subjects covered are reinforced monthly through informational bulletin boards that promote self-care and healthy habits.

During the Appointment for Validation event, a gastronomic exhibit is held representing the states of Guerrero, Veracruz, Oaxaca, and Sinaloa, as well as a traditional dance, standing out the cultural wealth of the communities making up the company.

The Appointment for Validation of Farm Shelters as Health Promoters is part of the strategy from the component entitled “Health Promotion from the Migrant Population”, which purpose is to monitor and improve the health of migrant workers in both the fields and farm shelters where they work. Through this initiative, they are facilitated with access to comprehensive medical care based on the guidelines of the National Health Card (Cartilla Nacional de Salud). This allows for monitoring their health status throughout the migration process and the acquisition of knowledge that promotes healthy habits, which they can replicate in their communities of origin.
