Agricola Belher Conducts Training Sessions on Occupational Health and Food Safety

Villa Angel Flores, Navolato, Sinaloa – Agricola Belher continues the firm commitment to improving safety and health in the workplace, a series of training sessions were held for its workers during November. The training focused on the proper use and handling of phytosanitary products and the identification and prevention of mechanical risks in the packing houses and production units. This training is part of a comprehensive program designed to provide employees with the tools necessary to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Fifty-seven employees actively participated in the training on the phytosanitary products proper use and handling. Participants included supervisors, phytosanitary product applicators, agricultural machinery operators, and warehouse personnel, all essential in the agricultural production chain. The training was conducted by Jaziel Ornelas, Chief Sanitary Officer, and Phytosanitary Management Specialist, who emphasized the importance of following proper protocols for handling these substances, thus minimizing risks to workers’ health and the environment. Héctor Almaraz, the company’s Safety Officer, shared his experience and knowledge.

The company’s employees also participated in a training course on “Mechanical Risks in Packing Plants and Production Units,” the online course was organized by the International Horticultural Alliance for the Promotion of Social Responsibility (AHIFORES), of which the company is an active member. Twenty-five people from the packing area, including supervisors, middle management, and operations staff, were trained in this activity. Additionally, five individuals from the Continuous Improvement Department play a key role in implementing safe and efficient practices in production processes.

These training sessions reinforce Agricola Belher’s commitment to the health and well-being of its workers, as well as its responsibility towards safety in all operations. Through constant updating and training of the team, the company improves working conditions, and it ensures more responsible and efficient agricultural production, thus reaffirming its position as a leader in the sector.
