Agricola Belher, a commitment to the well-being of youth

The Community Development Center at “Lo De Beltran” field of Agricola Belher, through its Social Work department, held two informative sessions for young people in cooperation with the Community Center for Mental Health and Addictions (CECOSAMA). This collaboration took place within the framework of the channeling link that both institutions maintain to provide support on mental health and addiction subjects.
The sessions were held in two days. On the first day, the subject “Myths and Realities of Drugs” was addressed, where misconceptions were clarified, and evidence-based information was provided on the impact of substance use. In the second session, entitled “Let’s Talk About Suicide,” a space for dialogue was offered, to raise awareness among attendees about the importance of mental health, prevention, and access to professional help.

A total of fifty-eight young people participated in these activities, which created an environment of reflection and learning. With these actions, the Agricola Belher Community Development Center reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of its employees and the community, promoting spaces for information and support on relevant subjects to the youth.
Providing spaces for information and dialogue allows for raising awareness, sensitizing the community, and promoting access to professional support. Knowing how to recognize the risks and warning signs can be effective in the life of someone who needs help. Proper education and guidance not only empower people to make informed decisions, but also contribute to a more supportive society, prepared to face these challenges.
