Last Friday October 24, our CEO, Georgius Gotsis, participated as a speaker at the VIII Farming Economics and Agri-Business Convention, held by Universidad Autonoma Agraria Antonio Narro (UAAAN) at the Eulalio Gutierrez Auditorium in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.

Universidad Autonoma Agraria Antonio Narro, with over a century of history, is one of the most renowned institutions in Mexico for training professionals in the agricultural sector. Its educational model combines field practice, fostering research, innovation, and sustainable development of the Mexican field. Narro is considered a cradle of farmers, technicians, and researchers who have contributed to strengthening the agri-food production of the country.

The event brought together over 200 students, academics, and professionals in the farming sector, who were enthusiastically participating in an event dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and the future of the Mexican field.

During his lecture entitled “Challenges and Innovations in the Mexican Horticultural Sector,” Georgius addressed the evolutions of horticultural exports from the country, the key role from Sinaloa as a global player in agricultural exports, and the new challenges the industry is facing in terms of logistical, trade, and regulatory change.

Then, the convention continued with a series of high-value conferences for attendees.
