Veggies From Mexico takes part in the 17th Edition of AMHPAC’s Convention
Last week, Veggies from Mexico was present in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, represented by our CEO Georgius Gotsis Fontes at the AMHPAC Convention 2025, the top protected horticulture event in Mexico.
During the 3-day event, over 350 leaders in the sector came together to discuss what is next to Mexican farming: foreign trade, sustainability, logistics, tech innovation, and most of all, the future of Mexican horticultural exports.

The Convention consisted of keynote conferences, panels with experts, and interesting round table discussions. The discussion revolved around the impact that eliminating the Tomato Dumping Suspension Agreement will have from the TMEC 2026, the water footprint in the protected horticulture, and how to diversify both markets and crops. We also heard discussions from analysts such as Valeria Moy, Javier Tello and the CEO of the National Farming Council (CAN) Jorge Esteve Recolons, with a clear vision about where we are going as a sector.
Also, there was networking opportunity for the attendees, taking a tour around the expo with over 50 participating companies, and sharing ideas with allies all across Mexico, the United States and Canada. There was even time for recreational activities such as the 5k run, dinners and one on one sessions with strategic advisors.

What we were the most excited about was seeing so many young growers taking part in the event and raising their hands to lead the change. This confirms that Mexican farming has a present, but above it all, it has a future.
