From the 21st to the 23rd of February we were present at the 32nd edition of Expo Agro Sinaloa, the most important agricultural forum in the northwest of Mexico, organized by the Confederation of Agricultural Associations of the State of Sinaloa (CAADES).

Expo Agro Sinaloa is a business-generating forum and the ideal place to showcase the products and services of companies in the agricultural sector; this fair features the visit of exhibitors from Mexican and international companies, agricultural innovations, training for farmers and field technicians, SME Pavilion where small and medium-sized companies that add value to fresh produce are exhibited, coordinated agribusiness center where meetings with buyers and suppliers of fresh produce are organized, demonstration plots with exhibitions of vegetable, grain and alternative crops.

This year, Expo Agro Sinaloa was honored to receive the presence of countries such as the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, and Japan, thus consolidating its global relevance. The event, which attracted approximately 40 thousand visitors, was inaugurated by distinguished personalities such as the Governor of the State, Ruben Rocha Moya, the Federal Secretary of Agriculture, Victor Villalobos Arambula, as well as diplomatic representatives such as the US Ambassador to Mexico, Ken Salazar, CAADES President Marte Vega Roman and the US Consul in Hermosillo, Mattew Roth, among other prominent leaders of the agricultural and governmental sector.

Georgius Gotsis – Veggies From Mexico CEO participated in the round table: “Challenges of the Fruit and Vegetable Sector in Labour Matters”, an important space where they discussed the current situation of the Mexican regulation in labor matters, in this panel also participated Lic. Mario Haroldo Robles – Director of the Commission for the Investigation and Defence of Vegetables of Sinaloa – Confederation of Agricultural Associations of the State of Sinaloa (CIDH-CAADES), Mr. Alfredo Diaz Belmontes – Director of AMHPAC, Mr. Enrique Rodarte Espinosa de Los Monteros – Grower of Rodeli Growers and Juan Pablo Molina Baranzini – Grower and Vice President of the Labour Area of the CNA.

The Business Centre was attended by national buyers such as Casa Ley, Oxxo, Walmart, Kiosko, Farmacon, and La Cuarta, among others, as well as international buyers from the United States, Canada, and Japan, interested in agricultural products such as chili, cucumber, watermelon, pumpkin, and processed foods. The presence of buyers from e-commerce platforms, including Mercado Libre, Amazon, Walmart, and Agricompra, who held business meetings with more than 130 MSMEs, stood out.
