Veggies From Mexico and the Culiacan Growers Association (AARC) have started a joint work effort intended to strengthening food safety and social responsibility standards in the grain management operations from the Association.

AARC has extensive experience in grain storage, collection, handling, and marketing for major domestic and foreign buyers. In this respect, and as part of its vision of continuous improvement, the Association has expressed its interest in having all its operations audited and in alignment with the best practices in food safety, social responsibility, and operational compliance.

Veggies From Mexico, a renowned program for its experience in audits within the horticultural sector, has been invited to work closely with AARC to adjust and develop specific criteria tailored to the unique requirements of managing grains, warehouses, and storage centers, while maintaining the technical rigor that characterizes our assessment processes.

Currently, both teams are already working on reviewing and defining the audit criteria, which will be continuously assessed to ensure ongoing compliance with agreed standards. This process seeks not only to certify the current state of operations but also to establish a model of continuous improvement that fosters trust, traceability, and added value throughout the entire chain.

As part of this collaboration, a later stage is considered, which will include the creation of a distinctive badge that reflects the joint commitment to food safety, social responsibility, and best practices in grain management. This badge, which name and scope are currently under review, is intended to become a trusted benchmark for the market.

This alliance represents a significant step to continue raising the level of professionalism, transparency, and competitiveness in the farming sector of the region, demonstrating that collaboration between institutions is essential to building more responsible and sustainable supply chains.
