The Theater as an Educational Tool – Agricola Belher Promotes Values in Children
Agricola Belher, together with high school students from Universidad Autonoma de Sinaloa located in Navolato held the Third Student Puppet Theater Festival, for children in preschool and elementary school. In this edition, a total of 195 children from first grade of preschool to sixth grade of elementary school participated.
The event was held with the purpose of using art as an educational and social integration tool. It promoted a culture of peace in the community through cultural management with a democratic and collaborative approach. The puppet show presented during the event addressed significant subjects such as inclusion, respect, equality, healthy coexistence, and bullying prevention, to raise awareness and strengthening these values amongst children.

In addition to the puppet show, other activities to encourage the participation of children were held, allowing them to interact and reflect on the subjects presented. As part of the activity, children also received some presents, and then ending a day of learning and entertainment which reaffirmed the commitment of Agricola Belher and Universidad Autonoma de Sinaloa to education and social development.
Theater plays a fundamental role in the comprehensive development of children, as it is not only a form of entertainment, but also an educational and socializing tool. Through artistic expression, children are able to explore emotions, improve their communication skills and work on their self-esteem.
