Closing Ceremonies Celebrate the 2023-2024 School Year and Agricultural Season

Graduaciones-Del-Campo-y-Asociados

With great emotion, the graduation ceremonies for the children of migrant workers from companies affiliated with Veggies from Mexico took place. Each agricultural season, while their parents work, these children attend school or daycare—services provided free of charge by the company. Many complete their elementary, middle, and high school education thanks to their parents’ efforts and the company’s support.

Some of these graduates even start working with the company after completing university. This achievement is undoubtedly gratifying for the farmers of Veggies from Mexico. Let’s highlight a few of the graduations:

Approximately 44 children graduated from preschool, elementary, and high school.

Seven adults in the adult and youth education program (ISEJA) completed their elementary and high school studies.

At the closing event, Mr. Diego Ley Lopez congratulated the graduates and acknowledged parents for supporting their children’s education. He emphasized that education is the best legacy they can leave for their children. He also reiterated that the agricultural company would continue to support them with the means for their children to study.

The hard work of teachers was also recognized for their dedication and effort in teaching children and young people.

Graduation ceremonies were held across Grupo Chaparral’s agricultural fields, including Empaque Tombell, Campo La Paloma, Esmeralda, and Campo El Diez.

A total of 180 children graduated from preschool, elementary, and high school.

Fifty adults completed their elementary and high school education through the Education for Youth and Adults program (ISEJA).

Ms. Socorro García Madrid, administrator of Grupo Chaparral, acknowledged parents’ efforts in keeping their children in school. She encouraged the graduates to continue preparing for a better future.

The closing ceremony for the Migrant Preschool Education School Generation 2021-2024 and Migrant Elementary School “Justo Sierra” Generation 2018-2024 was held at accomodations.

The presidium comprised the directors of both schools, generation sponsors, Innovation and Continuous Improvement Manager, AFOMAC president, daycare leader, educational advisor, housing administrator, and Human Capital manager.

The event featured roll calls, flag honors, and lively dances performed by initial education, preschool, and elementary school students (as “El ratón vaquero”, “El gallito”, “Flor de piña”, “La chona”, “El chango marengo”.)

Eighteen preschool children and six elementary school children graduated. Preschool and elementary school certificates were handed out, as well as awards for each grade’s first places of achievement.

Parents, friends, relatives, teachers, and administrative staff of housing the heartwarming event where the graduating students danced the emotional waltz with their parents and godparents.
