Agricola Belher Welcomes Students from Universidad Autonoma Chapingo






Navolato, Sinaloa.- Agricola Belher, a member of the Veggies From Mexico farming community, hosted a visit from 99 fifth-semester students of the Agricultural Engineering Program Specializing in Agricultural Parasitology at Universidad Autonoma Chapingo.
The purpose of the visit was to learn about the tomato production system in Sinaloa, with a particular focus on pest and disease management within production processes. During the visit, the students were accompanied by their professors, PhD. Manuel Tejeda Reyes and MSc. Antonio Tafoya Razo.

The visit was coordinated by the Center for Research in Food and Development (CIAD) and guided by PhD. Armando Carrillo Facio, CIAD researcher and Integrated Pest Management advisor for the company. Representing Agricola Belher, MSc. Flavio Velazquez, Head Grower, and Engineer Jaziel Ornelas, Plant Health Manager, explained the main technical aspects of crop management.
