Agricola Belher: Commitment with quality and food safety
What is behind a tomato produced in Agricola Belher? Every year, at the beginning of the season, Agrícola Belher, a member company of our agricultural community Veggies from Mexico carries out the presentation and start of the audit program for the 2023-2024 season. The leaders of all the company’s divisions are involved in this event.
In this presentation, the combined results of three previous seasons are shared. The annual program of internal and external audits is also communicated and the general introduction of each scheme to be implemented and audited is made. The different aspects to be evaluated are mentioned, such as product traceability, good hygiene practices, the quality management system, waste management, and efficiency in water use, among others, and the importance of implementing sustainable practices in all areas of the company is highlighted.
Also, during the presentation, the importance of performing these audits is emphasized as a fundamental tool to ensure quality and efficiency in its processes, highlighting that they are an opportunity to learn about and improve its processes and that they not only guarantee compliance with the company’s internal quality standards but are also a sign of transparency and trust towards its customers and consumers.
The topic of the Internal Audit Opening Meeting for the GlobalG.A.P. + AddOn FSMA + HACCP safety schemes is also reviewed. These international standards reflect continuous compliance with the highest levels of quality and food safety at each step of the process.
