The “Lo de Beltran” Community Development Center at Agricola Belher hosted an emotional closing ceremony for the school year with the graduations of children and young adults, children of migrant workers who are part of this community.

At the closing ceremony of the Juan Emerio Beltran Lopez Kindergarten, 21 children celebrated their first graduation, while at the General Ángel Flores Elementary School, the efforts of more students who completed this important stage of their education were recognized.

Also, this year, two young high school and university graduates joined the academic achievements. Andres Rauz Robles completed his studies at the Genaro Vázquez Rojas UAS High School; Adan Alexander Fuentes Contreras completed his studies at COBAES 61 Enrique Felix Castro High School; and Samuel Gonzalez Hernandez earned his Bachelor of Elementary Education degree from Escuela Normal de Sinaloa, with honors.

Samuel, a native of Veracruz and the son of Agricola Belher workers with over nine years with the company, was accompanied by his parents in this major achievement.

Just like Andres and Adan, natives of Oaxaca, their story represents the commitment of many migrant families to education.
