Big Little Steps
Marisol is a woman who has succeeded to be better every day, and even with no professional studies, she is now the manager of a shelter in the “Lo de Beltran” field.
She arrived in Sinaloa from Oaxaca along with her mother. She began picking tomatoes, but her drive led her to seek more responsibilities, soon enough she led a group of people, and was promoted to quality supervisor.
She started doing office work, helping the HR department, and functioning as a social worker’s assistant. Being used to doing everything by hand, she learned to use computers with the help of her colleagues and took basic Excel and Word courses.
Nowadays, she’s studying high school online and is set on getting a professional degree. “My desire to succeed had always been my greatest motivation, until I had children. Now, I want to do better for them”. She lives with her family in the shelter but would like to have a home of her own and support her children to become successful.
