International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) will bring together importers, exporters, retailers, producers and business solution providers from across the produce supply chain in Guadalajara, Mexico May 14-15. The event connects decision makers with industry experts and includes an expo to showcase industry products and innovations.

“The Mexican produce industry plays an incredibly important role domestically and across the entire produce industry,” said IFPA VP of Global Relations, Jessica Keller. “From food safety to innovation and tariffs to consumer trends, there are a lot of moving targets that are critical to the success of those looking to do business in Mexico and the rest of the region. Anyone looking to navigate these trade complexities and optimize their market strategies will be energized by the expertise and connections they will make at this year’s Mexico Conference.”

The event will feature Paulina Gross of Euromonitor International, who will share the key global trends impacting fresh producers in the Mexican market.  These insights will be informed by Euromonitor International’s global consumer trends study that provides strategy guidance for international businesses.

In addition to consumer trends research, the two day event will also feature experts and discussion on the state of trade and food safety.  Each of these topics are incredibly timely topics impacting the entire produce industry, especially as the geopolitical landscape shifts. IFPA’s Chief Strategy Officer, Doug Bohr, will also take the stage to share IFPA’s progress on the three year strategic plan the association announced in October at the Global Produce and Floral Show.

Throughout the event, attendees will have built in opportunities to network and connect with exhibitors.

“While it is critically important for our industry to have the time to explore how global trends are going to specifically impact the regional and Mexican market,” said Mexico Country Manager, Rubén Ramirez. “It’s equally important for attendees to be able to connect, engage and explore solutions specific to this market. This is the most relevant event in Mexico that connects the entire agribusiness supply chain. Being part of The Mexico Conference means staying at the forefront of the industry and accessing the key insights for strategic decision making.”
