MCALLEN, TX – For nearly 70 years, GR Fresh has cultivated a multi-generation legacy rooted in Mexican growing regions, long-standing partnerships, and a commitment to responsible production.

Tony Incaviglia, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, GR Fresh

“We’ve been growing in Mexico for about 70 years,” Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tony Incaviglia shared. “Grandpa Juan Fernando started this company, and I now work with the 3rd generation, his grandchildren.”

.

Across seven regions, the company has built its program around foundational vegetables that drive both retail and foodservice business. Roma and round tomatoes, grape tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplant, squash, and other dry veg form the core of its year-round offering.

“Our staple items that we grow in 7 different regions have been Roma tomatoes, round tomatoes, grape tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplant, and squash,” he detailed. “A lot of the Mexican dry veg.”

As customer expectations evolve, sustainability and safety remain central to operations. Incaviglia emphasized the company’s responsibility in meeting modern standards and maintaining trust with buyers across the supply chain.

“Obviously sustainability is very, very important. You know, we follow all of the food safety necessary requirements and specifications,” he said. “A lot of our retail and food service customers expect that, and it’s something that we take very, very seriously.”
