On Thursday, May 16, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between Veggies from Mexico and DRC Canada.

The Dispute Resolution Corporation (DRC) is a Canadian organization dedicated to resolving commercial disputes among growers, distributors, brokers, buyers, retailers, and all stakeholders involved in the fresh fruits and vegetables trade. Established in 2009, the DRC provides procedures and services to prevent disputes through mediation, consultation, and arbitration. For Mexican growers exporting to Canada, membership in this organization is crucial, and the same applies to their buyers.

Considering this, Veggies from Mexico / CAADES entered into a collaboration agreement with the DRC. Their joint efforts include offering Sinaloan growers’ courses and training to facilitate membership. Additionally, they provide community access to DRC’s online tools, share updates, and even organize educational seminars in Sinaloa. VFM’s auditors also emphasize the importance of commercial protection for farmers dealing with Canadian clients.

Notably, this agreement was signed online by VFM Director Georgius Gotsis, Luc Mougeot (President of DRC), and Jaime Bustamante (DRC’s Director of Trading Assistance).
