Veggies From Mexico presents an online conference on Innovation in farming production for Students at Tec de Monterrey Campus Sinaloa

On Friday, January 26th, our CEO Georgius Gotsis Fontes was invited by the professors and students at Tec de Monterrey Campus Sinaloa to discuss a bit about innovation in farming production and produce marketing. Based on his expertise and Statistics, Georgius shared with them some representative figures on the exports from Mexico into the US and to the world in the 2019-2020 farming season; as he highlighted the significance of Sinaloa in marketing fresh products in Mexico and other markets. Also, he was able to tell students about the 10 main exported products, including tomatoes, bell peppers and a variety of hot peppers, which many of them from our state.

Regarding the marketing increase in fresh products with countries to which Mexico exports fresh products, he indicated a few features involved so that there is a greater demand for them, such as: food safety and social responsibility certificates held by farming companies, as well as protected agriculture and farmers able to explore other markets.

Within the innovation in farming production, he shared some of the new technologies that have been implemented for a while now in farming fields, packaging facilities, greenhouses, etc. such as: Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and blockchain, with the purpose of being more productive and bringing healthy and quality food to the consumer.
