Last June 17th, the “Workshop to implement the IMSS Decree for temporary farmworkers” was developed. This event was hosted by the Alianza Hortofrutícola Internacional para el Fomento de la Responsabilidad Social, A.C. (Ahifores) and lectured by Professor Juan Manuel Montañez González, Manager of the Subdivision on Voluntary Incorporation and Special Groups at the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS).
This decree provides tax benefits for both employers and temporary field workers. Only field employers who have temporary field workers at their service, when these are registered and enrolled before de Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), can enjoy these tax benefits. The tax benefits will only be applied to their temporary field workers, which must be registered in the insurance modality number 13, with type of work 2 and 4.
The purpose of this training is for participants to learn about the enrollment systems, as well as the use of the form for provisional medical attention, a practice for calculation to pay with the reference factor, and learning how to develop reports for the Social Security Institute from the use of the various enrollment systems.
