Disney Launches a Face mask Collection in Mexico and Donates 35,000 Units to Food Banks to Support Children and Families in a Vulnerable Situation

Disney Launches a Face mask Collection in Mexico and Donates 35,000 Units to Food Banks to Support Children and Families in a Vulnerable Situation

In an effort to provide assistance to vulnerable communities during these challenging times, The Walt Disney Company Latin America is making a donation of 35,000 face masks to Mexico through the National Food Bank Network (BAMX), which is part of The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN). In addition, Disney announces the launch of reusable face masks in Mexico, with designs inspired by the most loved characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

The face masks are now available in Mexico in sizes small and large. They are reusable and made with bilayer fabric, made of 100% advanced woven polyester microfiber, air permeable, washable, with high quality heat-sealed and fused triple pleating. They can be purchased individually or in packs of two, five and ten units. The collection is already selling in the Biomsk online store and Suburbia.com.

Wearing face mask is a way to take care of ourselves during these challenging times

Committed to community’s well-being, Disney will donate 35,000 face masks to Mexico through the National Food Bank Network (BAMX), which is part of The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN).

These face masks are part of a new line inspired by the most loved characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

Help us sharing the importance of using it and its proper use.

Why should I wear a face mask?

  • The use of non-surgical (cloth) face masks in the pandemic context is intended for those who must leave their home or go to public places.
  • The use of face masks is a public health measure, additional to hygiene and social distancing.
  • The use of face masks is a way to take care of ourselves, and look after the others. Face masks act as a barrier to protect others.

How to use a face mask?

  • Before putting on the face mask, and when you are taking it off, you must wash your hands.
  • It should fit tightly to the face (against the nose bridge and the face side, covering the mouth, nose and chin).
  • It should allow normal breathing, without restrictions.
  • The face mask is for personal use, it should not be shared with anyone.

Reusable face masks

  • If the face mask is still not wet or dirty and will be used again, you may store it in a clean, tightly closed plastic bag until it is time to use it again.
  • Most reusable face masks can be hand washed with soap and warm to hot water (see product directions for each case).
  • A reusable face mask should not lose its shape after washing and drying.

Let’s take care of ourselves together!

Remember: Using a face mask does not protect against COVID-19, it must be used in combination with other preventive measures, which includes keeping social distancing and washing hands regularly.
